DavisHR Construction company firmly believes that our customers deserve the best — so we design and test our asphalt mixes to ensure that’s what they get. In our Quality Control lab, certified technicians conduct a battery of tests on materials, from raw aggregates to final job pavements, to verify composition and durability of the mixes we lay down. If our customers are not satisfied with the results, we adjust production until tests prove we built the job to specification.

For example, some customers require complex quality control testing, which may include pulling plate samples or testing density on-site. Trained personnel use AASHTO-approved methods and volumetric testing during production and lay-down to monitor our quality closely. We work in concert with our customer’s testing labs to ensure that customers are getting the high quality product that they expect from DavisHR Consruction company.

In the future, the planning process will take place on an exclusively digital and fully networked basis. The key phrase here is Building Information Modeling (BIM). In contrast to the customary planning activities that today will accompany the construction process, the idealized BIM method sees the whole building planned in advance in parallel with all the associated trades, and simulated, tested and corrected as required in a virtual model. Faults and discrepancies can thus be easily tackled within the software and do not have to be laboriously rectified at the construction site. The building is constructed twice, if you will: once virtually on the computer and then subsequently in reality.
